Not enrolled in secondary school yet?
Most parents want their child to have the best possible education. In particular, this includes attending a specific secondary school. In some cases, however, an application to the desired secondary school will be rejected. Since this happens for different reasons, the further procedures also differ. The personal attitude towards conflicts also plays an important role here. If a conflict is to be avoided, the search for another suitable school is the first viable option. If the school is confronted with the decision, the following points and in this context also the reasons for the rejection should be considered in order to be able to foresee a possible success or failure.
One of the reasons why a student is rejected can be the exhausted number of students at the desired school. In this case, the school has the legal option of rejecting the student without the parents having an opportunity to object. It is up to the parents to look for a new school and register the child there.
Independent schools have a more open admission process than public schools. These schools give parents the opportunity to register their child at any time. If the qualifications are fulfilled, admission will depend on whether there are capacities in the individual classes and the number of competitors.
